My mom made this awesome cake
Holidays + Birthdays + Work = little time to keep up with the ol’ journal.
Among well wishes and gifts yesterday, came this email referencing an afternoon of coffee and catching up:
Sitting in a bohemian cafe in Ludlow with Chris Glass I am taken back to college days. Our hair is darker and thinner now, our faces look gaunter and all those around us look so much younger. Yet we are wiser and find that inside we’ve changed, grown, matured, but not into that which we once despised in college, but rather, into a deeper, more contemplative version of our former selves.
We both lead different lives and have different perspectives only because we think about different things, but it is this exchange of perspectives that is so heartwarming among close friends–to know that you are understood and that under the facade you’re still a bohemian.
Happy Birthday. Do something crazy
I didn’t do anything crazy, but I did enjoy time with friends and family.
And there was pretty icing on the cake.
