The view above the Missouri/Kansas airtport.
It hadn’t rained in Kansas City for almost two months. Two months that left the grass brown and the trees defending their very existence by dropping leaves early. The driver of the shuttle service was giddy as the first few drops started hitting the windshield from the airport.
Unpacking my bags from the cargo area of the minivan, it was a slight downpour. He said it never felt so good and was about to do a dance. He took my tip instead and I let him drive his other passengers to their destination.
Later that evening, I found myself repulsed by the MTV Music Award Show within the first 5 minutes.
So contrived.
