Todd, Ann and me
While at Ohio State, I’d steal away to the movies with my roommate Todd and his theater com-padre Ann. We forged a creative friendship, making up ideas for movies or crafting schemes to become rich with artistic endeavors.
Conversation was easy with these folks, and ten years without much contact at all, we picked up right where we left off.
Lunch at our old stomping grounds was filled with good chat and vittles. A quick tour of the downtown mall couldn’t hamper our spirits with the urban plight. Closed storefronts and going-out-of-business sales were par for the course.
Back to Ann’s apartment for delicious cream puffs from a german bakery, then off to catch a few drinks, I cut the evening short to head home. It went by too quick, but I’m sure we won’t let a decade pass before we bend elbows again.
