Marathon travel day

The Teton Range

The trip from Lander to Jackson via the Togwotee Pass was excellent heading westward. I had only gone the opposite direction during prior trips. There was a great roadside pullout for a grand view of the Tetons with a nice infographic identifying the peaks. Funny how some sides of the road are better than others.

From there I white knuckled it through the pass west of Jackson and headed through Idaho up into Montana. I enjoyed a roadside lunch from the cooler overlooking the Snake River.

It was a long day. I took many breaks but ended up putting about 740 miles on the ride, and ended up crashing comfortably in the funny named town of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, 30 miles east of Spokane, WA.
